Cheza GameDay
Sponsored by Coca-Cola Uganda and Golden Marketing, this Cheza Fanta Funday experience celebrates traditional sports in schools and institutions across Uganda through tours, activations and healthy education empowerment. The programme has so far reached over 200 schools and institutions, impacting over six hundred thousand (600,000) youth.
Bringing African games into school life
Cheza GameDay connects schools and institutions with traditional African sport through organised play and activations. It provides an entry point for learners to experience games that link physical activity with cultural identity.
More than a single event
Cheza’s operating framework identifies GameDay as a route into school participation through direct school bookings and sponsor-supported delivery. The longer-term aim is to connect an activation with continued play, teacher involvement and school club development.
Participation and learning
The programme brings together movement, teamwork and cultural exchange. Activities can introduce learners to ChezaDodge/Kwepena and other African games, with delivery planned around the needs of the participating school.
Book or support a GameDay
Schools and sponsors can contact Cheza to discuss the age group, venue, programme goals and delivery requirements. Partners can also discuss supporting access for schools with limited resources.
