Kwepena For Financial Literacy
An innovative approach to teaching financial skills, where participants learn through the metaphor of sports,
particularly ChezaDodge/Kwepena, to understand financial concepts in an engaging way. This program is done in partnership with the Iprofile Foundation and Finmango USA under the Fincubator and Koin Dream Challenge.
Learning through a familiar game
The programme uses ChezaDodge/Kwepena as an engaging starting point for financial learning. A game gives participants a shared experience that can be discussed and connected with financial decisions.
Connecting play with reflection
The approach pairs participation with discussion. Decisions, resources and outcomes in a sporting activity can provide a practical metaphor for exploring financial concepts, with facilitators connecting the experience to the learning goals.
A collaborative programme
Cheza contributes its sport and participation approach, working with Iprofile Foundation and Finmango USA through the Fincubator and Koin Dream Challenge. This connects traditional African play with a wider educational purpose.
Explore a learning partnership
Schools, youth organisations and financial education partners can contact Cheza to discuss a session and its intended learning outcomes. Programme content should be matched to participants’ ages and needs.
